it's OK - you run 2.4.21-27.ELsmp kernel and there is /lib/modules/2.4.21-27.ELsmp directory with kernel modules.

Subject: [Q] Redhat AS 3.0 boot modules different than AS 2.1?

We just doing Redhat AS 3.0 update 4 installation.
After finished and system boot up, I check
AS 3.0 is running under "2.4.21-27.ELsmp". I also
check /lib/modules there is ONLY two bootable modules
in there. I remember AS 2.1 have
"2.4.9-e.38enterprise " on it. I wonder AS 3.0 does
NOT support "2.4.21-27ELenterprise" any more?

AS 3.0:

# uname -a
Linux mCG-ORA04 2.4.21-27.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Dec 1
21:59:02 EST 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linu

# ls -al /lib/modules
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Jan 27
16:40 .
drwxr-xr-x 11 root root 4096 Jan 27
16:54 ..
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 27
16:40 2.4.21-27.EL
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 27
16:40 2.4.21-27.ELsmp

Thanks.
