Folks, I have a situation here.I Installed redHat AS3.0 on sda(1) using lilo as boot loader.Later I installed windows 2000 advanced server on sdb (1).At the time of installing Windows,it asked for a partition on drive 1 (sda)to store some boot information,I gave it as sda4.Later the system started to boot only windows adv server.I made use of the rescue disk and reinsatlled lilo.Now the system boots up only linux. How do I get dual boot configued under this situation? cheers ----- Original Message ----- From: Manuel Arostegui Ramirez <manuel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thursday, January 20, 2005 3:39 am Subject: Re: Dual boot help!! > El Jueves 20 Enero 2005 12:32, Otto Haliburton escribió: > > > -----Original Message----- > > > From: redhat-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:redhat-list- > > > bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Govind C > > > Sent: Thursday, January 20, 2005 2:18 AM > > > To: General Red Hat Linux discussion list > > > Subject: Dual boot help!! > > > > > > Folks, > > > I had installed Redhat AS3.0 first and then installed Windows 2000 > > > (both on different harddisk).Now the system always boots in > Windows> > 2000.What should I do, to get a menu selction.I had > configured redhat > > > for Lilo > > > > > > Cheers > > > Govind > > > > First you probably made the mistake of installing windows after > installing> redhad, so now go and use rescue to boot into linux > and install lilo or > > grub, I know that grub is installed by grub-install, I don't > know what you > > use to install lilo. > > > To reinstal lilo, try > /sbin/lilo > > Cheers. > -- > Manuel Arostegui Ramirez #Linux Registered User 200896 > Socio de Hispalinux 1813 > Red Hat Linux 9, Kernel 2.6.2 ReiserFS > Firma cifrada > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) > Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org > iD8DBQE+3O1MqfmPcHTj+twRAm > yDAJ9P6ezepIMg06vOet/YPKxVoB+Z/ACfWVhh > ---END PGP SIGNATURE----- > > -- > redhat-list mailing list > unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list > -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
