software RAID in clusters

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

According to p. 6 in "Red Hat Cluster Suite - Configuring and Managing a
Cluster":

"The use of software RAID, or software Logical Volume Management (LVM), is
not supported on shared storage. This is because these products do not
coordinate access from multiple hosts to shared storage."

Shouldn't the layer below (e.g. scsi) take care of that?

Has anyone tried using mdadm in a cluster?

Kind regards,

emma
