Hmm...maybe it is an x-cd-roast limitation. Here's the xinf file from the
dump:

#
# X-CD-Roast 0.98alpha15 - INF-File
# created: Sun Dec 26 14:55:36 2004
# by: root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
#
file = "/path/to/dumpfile.wav"
track = 1 of 1
title = ""
artist = ""
size = 2138592
type = 1
rec_type = 0
preemp = 1
copyperm = 0
stereo = 1
# from CD:
cd_title = ""
cd_artist = ""
cd_discid = "023bfd01"
