I would move to postfix because I think it is more secure (or at least it has a better security track record), better designed and is easier to configure (just compare the postfix vs. sendmail O'Reilly books). :) Postfix "wraps" sendmail programs so that it is easier to use as a sendmail replacement than something like qmail. RHEL (not sure about fedora) has an easy way to swith MTA's with redhat-switch-mail. However, if you think sendmail is secure enough for you and you are comfortable enough with configuring sendmail, then there probably isn't a good reason to switch. I think you should probably be able to use sendmail without problem, but I haven't done this. You probably just need to change the mbox to maildir format.
