TERM=xterm in set | grep TERM
I try 'stty erase <hit backspace key>' but since backspace doesn't do anything I got an invalid parameter message.
Try...
stty erase ^\?

Issue "set | grep TERM".
If "TERM" isn't "xterm" or something like "vt100", you might want to "export TERM=xterm" or "export TERM=vt100".

When I'm in an xterm, my backspace key does not work. Only in xterm thought. What do I need to do to fix it?
