Hi Joe, Thanks for your reply on the subject. I think you are absolutely thinking in the right direction regarding the locks while using the same drive thru NFS. Currently, I am able to see drives on NAS from both of my machines but while doing read/write, sometimes the process hangs (accessing from either of the machines) and I was wondering why it is like this. I am sure it is becuase of some lacking of lock management. But how I use so called oracle clustering file system? And while using that, dont I need to use NFS anymore? I think while using OCFS, I need to connect this NAS device directly to my linux servers. This NAS is attached to my network currently.
