RHEL 3.0

Hello,

I have an HP DL380 machine running RHEL 3.0 with the following kernel: 2.4.21-15.ELsmp.

The memory configuration is the following:

2 * 1Gb
2 * 512Mb
2 * 512Mb

The problem is the following, the POST detects 4Gb of RAM in the appropriate DIMM slots
correctly, but the kernel only sees 3611352Kb.

This machine is having all sorts of memory related issues with oracle 10G which attempts
to access invalid memory addresses causing oracle to crash with a core dump, this of course
could be related to the above issue. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?

Cheers,
Geoff Rainey.
