Check the release notes for FC3.
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/os/RELEASE-NOTES-en.html

Basically, the kernel source is in the kernel.src.rpm file.  If you plan
on using Fedora, I would subscribe to fedora-list and fedora-test-list.
 This topic has been addressed on both.
