Hi,

I am getting a hundreds of log entries saying:

STARTTLS: read error=generic SSL error (0)

and I am not sure why. I did some research and found recommendations of
putting the line:

   define(`confENVDEF', `-D_FFR_DEAL_WITH_ERROR_SSL')

in my M4 file, but upon doing that and rebuilding/restarting, I still
get the log entries.

Can anyone explain to me exactly what this error message means and what
I need to do to fix it? (Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am
still very much a sendmail noob).

Thanks

I did a google and it mentioned the following to fix the error...

See devtools/README for the correct syntax, it's

APPENDDEF(`confENVDEF', `-D_FFR_DEAL_WITH_ERROR_SSL')

Please see www.sendmail.org/~ca/email/sm-812.html

Thanks for the reply.

That looks like it requires a recompile. Sadly thats considerably above my current skill level =0(

Is there no other way to fix it?
