nvidia drivers & rivafb

i installed the nvidia drivers on RHEL3 WS and it says
i need to disable rivafb support becuase it interferes
with the nvidia driver. I've done some research but
have come up with nothing. I've been told that it
should be located in /lib/modules/ but when i locate
riva and rivafb nothing comes up in there.

[root@localhost fire]# locate rivafb
/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-20.EL/drivers/video/riva/rivafb.h

about the only locations i get when i locate riva
would be

/usr/X11R6/lib/Server/drivers/nv/riva_hw.c
/usr/X11R6/lib/Server/drivers/nv/riva_hw.h
/usr/X11R6/lib/Server/drivers/nv/riva_tbl.h

also when i try to install tuxracer from source it
gives me the following error during ./configure

checking whether glx.h defines glXGetProcAddressARB...
no
configure: error: Your copy of glx.h is out of date.
You can get a more recent copy from the latest Mesa
distribution (http://mesa3d.sourceforge.net).

and homeworld runs all screwy.. (no text, objects
during gameplay are invisible)

some games work some dont...
