Reuben,

I am attaching two files that accomplish this; a bash script and an ascii 
input file to ppmtompeg. You will need to have the 
ImageMagick and netpbm-progs rpms installed. I am converting png files 
to ppm and then using ppmtompeg to generate a mpeg video. You can change 
it such that you can convert from whatever format you desire.
