Jason,
The laptop is an HP7010ca, Wide aspect screen. I bought the machine
at a local computer show Refurbished for $1000.00, 3.06 GHZ, 512meg ram,
and lots of features. This laptop is sold online at many places for roughly
the same price. I am hell on laptops, spend most of my time in industry
programming a multitude of production machines. This is a rugged unit.
Though it is not a Linux Certified unit, it works well.
If price doesn't scare you too much, try www.emperorlinux.com, Lincols is a
smart cookie, he generates kernels for most laptops, and can pretty much get
any laptop to function well.
