"nfsd[PID]: nfssvc: Cannot allocate memory" errors

Anyone seen the following errors when attempting to start up
NFS on an RH9 system?

"nfsd[PID]: nfssvc: Cannot allocate memory" errors

I don't even know where to begin. This system has plenty of
physical memory and is not even dipping into swap space on disk.

What else to I check/change?

Thanks,
KR
