Hi All,

I am interested in using my active linux desktop via VNC .
Brian suggested a application called Krfb for KDE. I use GNOME for my desktop. Does anyone know of any application which I can use with gnome so that, I can share my actual desktop(:0) at my office desk via VNC ?

thanks in advance,

Daniel, You're lucky, I just fought this battle myself. For a great solution, check out this PDF file: http://www.linux-magazine.com/issue/22/VirtualNetworkComputing.pdf It should answer all of your questions. If not, let me know - I'll give you whatever help I can. Brian

Subject: VNC

I realy like the access to VNC in the Fedora Core 2, but am at a loss as to why they set it up to go back to the old school xserver client. In RH9 it would use KDE or GNOME, which ever it was set to. What I am wondering is how I would go about changing it to use either KDE or GNOME. What config files I would need to change and settings I would have to change. Is there an app that can be used for changing it for VNC or is all the changes by hand?

Thanks in advance,
