Hi, We've got a RedHat9 installation on which we've upgraded the kernel to version 2.6.8.1, for purposes of making a multiport serial card only supported in 2.6.x work. Printing (over parallel port) wasn't working @ all until I insmod'd lp.ko after which I can now print, but only garbage... Tested with more than one printer (Laserjet2100 & Text/Dotmatrix), both of which are known to work otherwise... I looked this up on Google, but came up with nothing....
