Most likely you don't need a driver. You didn't say what problems you've encountered. Probably you just don't have a cable between your CD drive and your soundcard/chipset. Newer audio players don't need a cable since they read Audio CDs digitally, e.g. XMMS >= 1.2.8 comes with a plugin that can be configured appropriately. For Red Hat Linux 9 you could try the xmms-cdread add-on http://download.fedora.us/fedora/redhat/9/i386/RPMS.testing/ but it gives varying results for users (hence "testing"). Better get a cable for the beginning. > #lsmod gives > Module Size Used by Tainted: PF > ipv6 177748 -1 > i810_audio 27624 0 (autoclean) > ac97_codec 14568 0 (autoclean) [i810_audio] > soundcore 6404 2 (autoclean) [i810_audio] -- Fedora Core release 1 (Yarrow) - Linux 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl loadavg: 1.17 1.35 1.21 -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
