Hi everybody, I'm a newcomer in your list and I need your advice. I've got an HP Vectra running on RedHat 8.0 with a Quantum FIREBALL CR8.4A HD. The trouble is after the cron task to scan the HD with the anti-virus Sophos sweep-scan script, I've error in /var/log/messages as below : ...... Aug 17 03:21:45 nrtcefgw1 kernel: hda: dma_intr: error=0x10 { SectorIdNotFound }, LBAsect=13440687, sector=59424 Aug 17 03:21:45 nrtcefgw1 kernel: hda: dma_intr: error=0x10 { SectorIdNotFound }, LBAsect=13440687, sector=59424. ....... The fsck of the system file is OK and a low level scan with the Maxtor tool (has recently bought Quantum) is certified error free. I've tested different config for the swee-scan command (but not yet played with the dma bios options). Has someone knowledge about this kind of trouble.
