Hi,

I have 2 36 GB SCSI disks. I would like to mirror the root ( / ) using
the software RAID 1 during the RH 3.0 (2.4.21-4.Elsmp Kernel)
installation. I tried to follow these instructions:

http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7.3-Manual/custom-guide/ch-software-raid.html

Some how, I am not able to create the RAID1 on the 2 drives.

Do I need to compile a new kernel to load the raid modules?
I am confused.

Your help to resolve this would be very much appreciated.

Thank you,
-Murali
