Backing up Mac OS files to Redhat machine

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have a samba drive on a Redhat 9 system. I was trying to use it as a backup storage facility for the several Mac OS X systems in our office. This fails because Macs allow >,<,&,!,', and various other characters in their filename that Linux doesn't allow. Is there a way to allow these filenames to be copied to a Redhat machine?

Thanks,

Rich
