Couple questions.

Hello everyone. Got a couple questions for you all.

1. I have comcast cable internet. I have a 5 port hub with no hopes of
upgrading or anything for a couple months. I have 5 computers hooked up to
the hub and the cable modem hooked up to a 2nd nic in the linux box. Is
there a port I can open or a way that I can have the dhcp info from comcast
for the leased ip addresses i have, pass through to the other computers so i
can utilize those ip addresses?

2. How can I have the vnc server (or any service for that mater) just listen
to localhost calls instead of regular network ip calls? I use a ssh client
with port forwarding to access vnc, so i have a more secure connection. And
I the ports blocked on the firewall for vnc. But I figure if I can make it
just listen for calls on the localhost instead of networked or internet ips
i could make it that much more secure.

I hope these questions make sence. A wee bit tired and dazed from pain meds
and getting late while I write this email.
Thanks in advance.
Daniel
