Hello: This is in regards to an update from kernel 2.4.18-14 to 2.4.20 on RH 8.0 I have build, compiled,configured and saved my kernel configuration. Next step is to create a RAM disk to include it in the loader file(GRUB or LILO) When i execute the command mkinitrd initrd-2.4.26.img 2.4.26 in the boot directory i get the following message No module mptbase for kernel 2.4.26 I would want to know the significance of this error and steps to eliminate for successful upgaradation of my kernel Best, Kalpesh P.
