Hi Ed, I tried e2fsadm to resize a mounted ext3 file system, under RH EL3, but it complains e2fsadm --Sorry: `ext2online` not found in any of /sbin /usr/sbin /u... e2fsadm --ERROR: can't online resize I got lvm-1.0.3-15 installed. Which package does ext2online reside? Why is that?? Am I missing > something You've extended the logical volume but not the file system. You need to do a resize2fs now. Note that the file system must be unmounted before you can resize it. In the future, use e2fsadm instead - it acts as a front-end to lvextend, lvreduce, and resize2fs. -- Ed Wilts, RHCE Mounds View, MN, USA mailto:ewilts@xxxxxxxxxx Member #1, Red Hat Community Ambassador Program -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
