Trouble with RPM install/uninstall

Using RedHat 9.0

Tried to install xine ... missing dependencies... 
kept going... 
finally learned of and began to use apt/synaptic.

Now told there are two versions of xinetd installed
and I would have problems... 

tried to uninstall xine and then xinetd and here are
the results...

[root@localhost winstephen]# rpm -evv --test xinetd |
more
