scsi tape device support

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Good day,

I have a DL380 with an internal SCSI tape device, redhat 7.3, kernel version is 2.4.21.
Kernel does not recognize the device correctly, thinks it is DLT. This problem has just become evident
and the box has not been rebooted for 1 year.

Do you think:

a) reboot the server, see what the kernel says about the device.
b) recompile the kernel
c) look for proprietry drivers and add them as either a module/compile into kernel
d) none of the above..

Kind regards,
Geoff.
