I tried there and didn't get the hardware info I was looking for. I agree it is the first place to look.

Hi Greg,
You can get a lot of info by reading the files in /proc. There are also
utilities that display info such (like 'free'), however, I expect they just
access /proc.
Have a look at 'man proc'.
