up2date

Recently, I've been trying to run up2date remotely via a shell.
Whenever I run up2date with or without and parameters, it just drops me
back to the shell. I can't figure out why its not working the way its
supposed to. I did modify the config file for up2date to remove
packages from the skipList. It was working previously, as I only
noticed this problem recently...has anyone else seen this before?
