Good idea, Jeff and Reuben. But that turns our real mail host into a "relay" and they don't "relay" :D
Then ask them to allow your mail server to authenticate using SMTP AUTH. Your server can provide authentication too... it's not just something clients use on your server. That should be OK with them... allowing authenticated relaying is as safe as having authenticated remote users.
