2. Use up2date and tell it to look in the directory you copied the CDs into and update the RPMs. I believe the switches are -d -k <install directory>
Check the man page for details. Short version: "-l" to list applicable updates for this machine, "-u" to apply all updates, "-d" to download only, and "-k" for a particular directory.
