I should have said that the xhost utility must be run on the server (where
the server is the workstation you want the program displayed)... And set the
display on the client ( the workstation actually running the program)

Try running 'xhost xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' or 'xhost +', also need to set the

hmmm, this is not my day definitely 'Error: Can't open display:' is all 
I get :(

I'm using xterm on Suse. I ssh on RedHat box then type "export 
DISPLAY=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0" and then 'xclock' but Error: Can't open 
display: is output.
