I need some more information from you. Are you using sendmail,exim or postfix or other sendmail program?
What pop3 client do you use? qpopper or what?
Is your linuxbox set up as dns-server with mail record?

i am giving pop3 and smtp address as the mai.mydomain.com and then user name and password, please tell me if their is anything more i need to done in case the server is ldap+postfix.
I am recieveing mails in my vmail virtual directories

i am able to recieve the mail in my mail box but not able to recieve the mail thorugh either pop3 or imap.

my /var/log/maillog has following error , although i am giving login name and password but it is showing that i have not given any username
