How to force kudzu to look for hardware changes at boot up

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

Added a SCSI card to our server and I'd like Kudzu to add the card and
detect the tape drive that is connected to it during boot up.

The tape drive is detected by the SCSI controller at boot up (on the right
channel), but it doesn't appear as a device in harddrake.

I don't mind setting it manually, if need be. I have the following on the
system.

/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.26/drivers/scsi/advansys.c
/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.26/drivers/scsi/advansys.h

/lib/modules/2.4.21-0.26enterprise/kernel/drivers/scsi/advansys.o.gz

Any help on how to load the module and set up the tape drive would be
greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

James
