I have 2 network cards on my server (running with Red Hat ES 3 update 1)
The first one is the main one, which is always working, the second one is a backup.
I'd like to know: how to configure my 2 network cards to change the default card in case of problem (keeping the same configuration: IP, gateway...).
If you want both cards to use the same network configuration, I think you'll want to use VRRP. I haven't tried the following, but here is a userland implementation of VRRP:
