Is there a way by which you can disconnect users connected through ssh or telnet who has been idle for say 30 minutes ?
Good question... I've always had the issue of trying to keep my ssh/telnet sessions open. I found the following two projects:

http://packages.debian.org/unstable/admin/timeoutd
I don't know why there doesn't seem to be any timeoutd for RPM based systems?
