If you're going ton continue running wu-ftpd, you *MUST* ensure that you have the latest release since there have been major security holes in the past. There are automated probes out there that will find you if you run an unsecured wu-ftpd. vsftpd is a Red Hat-supported ftp server that will probably do what you need since there are a couple of you. ProFTPd is a good ftp server that is very powerful, but you'll need to support it yourself. vsftpd's weaknesses are in its configurability - it's poor compared to wu-ftpd and ProFTPd. .../Ed -- Ed Wilts, Mounds View, MN, USA mailto:ewilts@xxxxxxxxxx Member #1, Red Hat Community Ambassador Program -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
