NIS authentication problems

Hi

I am having trouble setting up a nis client.
The nis server is running RH7.3 and is working as I have other
nis-clients working off of it.

The machine in question is running RH WS. This is my first time working
with WS.
To set up the client, I:
1) Altered /etc/yp.conf and included my server line
2) Set the domain name.
3) Started portmap
4) Started ypbind.
5) Altered /etc/nsswitch.conf to poll the nis for passwd, group, hosts
and shadow

There were no complaints. I can see my passwd map by issuing 'ypcat
passwd'. The same with hosts and group.

Problem comes when I try to login as a user. It doesn't recognize my
password.

Any suggestions?

Cheers
Goncalo
