I need to change some stuff on apache, it now needs cocoon (http://cocoon.apache.org) but i'm having a few problems sorting out the dependencies. It needs xalan to run - i've managed to download it but have no idea how to install it. The file I downloaded contained .jar files so, AFAIK, all i have to do is put them in the correct directory - and thats the problem. I have no idea where they go.
Also, another quick question, if i manage to get xalan working would rpm allow me to install cocoon - im not sure it would pickup xalan since it not being installed via rpm.
