RHEL 3 - Upgrade libstdc++ from 3.2 to 3.3

I have a package that requires libstdc++ 3.3 or above, but RHEL 3 and RedHat
9 both have version 3.2. Also, the RedHat Network doesn't provide a newer
version. I did notice that the Fedora project has libstdc++-3.3.3-6.i386.
What are the implications of installing this Fedora rpm on RHEL 3 and/or
RH9? Also, when I tried to upgrade to this rpm I got the following on my
RedHat 9 system.

[root@myserver src]# rpm --upgrade ./libstdc++-3.3.3-6.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        libgcc_s.so.1(GCC_3.3) is needed by libstdc++-3.3.3-6
        libstdc++ = 3.2.2-5 is needed by (installed) libstdc++-devel-3.2.2-5
        libstdc++ = 3.2.2 is needed by (installed) gcc-c++-3.2.2-5

I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
