question about xinted.conf file

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

this is the default xinetd.conf file on a freshly
installed redhat server. (pasted below)

how to add the entries to allow for ftp,telnet,ssh etc
services. I guess this is the correct file for such
services ?
can one put any services (daemons that run the
services) in this file ? or only some (particular)
services are allowed in this file ?

# Simple configuration file for xinetd
#
# Some defaults, and include /etc/xinetd.d/

defaults
{
        instances               = 60
        log_type                = SYSLOG authpriv
        log_on_success          = HOST PID
        log_on_failure          = HOST
        cps                     = 25 30
}

includedir /etc/xinetd.d
