Re: CD-RW/DVD-ROM doesn't play nicely with Linux (or at least RH9)

firstly, let me correct my initial message.  I'm using cdrecord, not
cdroast.  

The problem seems to be specific to writing mondoarchive backups.  I can
write and read a (200+ Mb) tar file of my home directory without any
problem...
