I'm trying to install a new package I found on the Internet. When I try to install it from Nautilus it runs through the "Calculating package dependencies" (or whatever that screen says), but when it gets to the part where it should list failed dependencies or offer the Continue button, it just shuts down. When I try from the shell prompt with rpm -Fvh <packagefilename>.rpm and hit <ENTER> it doesn't give any kind of output whatsoever but returns me to the shell prompt. I see this behavior with almost every rpm I try to install that doesn't come from Red Hat. Security isn't that important to me on the machine I'm trying to install these on. How can I get them to install??? -Michael Sullivan- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
