Redhat 7.3/2.4.18-3 and AIC79xx

Hello,

Has anyone successfully been able to compile a standard 2.4.18-3 kernel with
the Adaptec aic79xx drivers without much grief. I have been struggling with
this for a week with no decent results. I have searched far and wide on the
net without finding many answers.

If someone could please point me to a decent site with source and maybe some
simple instructions on how to successfully compile the kernel and have the
module load, I would be most grateful!

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.
