Hi,
if it is kernel arg, it goes at the end of the kernel, args separated 
by whitespace, line as in (all on one line!!): 
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptlcustom ro root=LABEL=/1 hdc=ide-scsi bigphysarea=1024"
