  On my RH 7.X machine:

 [tom@linuxbox tom]$ rpm -q --whatprovides libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2

compat-libstdc++-6.2-2.9.0.9

compat-libstdc++-6.2-2.9.0.9-i386.rpm is found on my first install CD
for RH 7.0; check your 7.3 CD for that .rpm.
