Could you ping the gateway?
Try to connect your computer (from it) by ssh or
telnet using your ip (not 127.0.0.1).
For example, if my ip is 10.20.6.9, try ssh 10.20.6.9
(from the problematic machine, can you understand
me?).

Maybe is your ethernet card? Try to configure in other
RH9.
