I'm running a redhat-9 box on my DSL and have it configured with IMAP to provide mail for myself and my roommates. It appears that each IMAP folder consists of a text file in the user's home directory, aside from Inbox which is in /var/spool/mail. I have three questions related to this:
1) Is there a way that I can make imapd put mail folders somewhere else? Some clients (e.g. IMP) can't tell the difference between a mail folder and any other normal file; not to mention the clutter in my home directory.
2) Is it possible for me to create a user who has access to the system via ssh but for whom the machine won't accept mail? How would I do this?
3) What if I want to create a user who gets mail, but can't login otherwise? how would I do that?
Thanks,
Andy
