Hi there, I have oracle 9i release 2 installed on redhat enterprise linux 3.0. I have had great complications with various devices, java programs and so on on this system due to the enhanced native posix thread libraries on enterprise linux 3.0. The latest is 9i release 2 is unable to connect to a version 7 oracle db. I know this is not an oracle forum, but perhaps someone has successfully installed a lower version oracle client such as 9i release 1 on a 9i relase 2 install on an advanced server or other linux platform with success?
