I just tried to configure a printer under Advanced Server 2.1 via the GUI. The printer configuration dialogue box disappears immediately after opening. I successfully configured a printer with the GUI awhile ago. The only things I can think of that changed were: - I recently installed Samba - we upgraded to kernel version 2.4.9-e.24smp (I think from 2.4.9-e.21smp) I have another AS 2.1 box where the printer configuration works OK. The box where printconf fails has a /usr/local/lib/perl5 directory on it that doesn't exist on the box where it works. The failure seems to have something to do with that directory. Here is the error message that I get when I run "printconf-gui": ========================================================================= Can't locate Foomatic/Defaults.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i686-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.0 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i686-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at /usr/bin/foomatic-configure line 13. I tried erasing Samba and the error persisted. Help would be welcome. Thanks.
