RE: stage2.img encoding

Hello all,

I think I found the command to produce ext2 stage2.img files on RH7.0:

"mkisofs -l -v -r -T -J -o stage2.img stage2" <- stage2 being the
directory, of course.

Subject: stage2.img encoding

I know RedHat 7.3+ use cramfs format for the stage2.img files found on the
installation media, and RedHat 7.0 uses ext2-encoded stage2.img files. I
can use the command "mkcramfs . ../stage2.img" to encode a new stage2.img
file in RH 7.3+, but I don't know how to encode an ext2 file for RedHat 7.0.
Does anybody know how to do this?

Trev.
