I'm still working with the same problem.

I'm now wondering are the mouse drivers missing from
directory /usr/X11R6/lib/modules. Should there be something
referring "mouse"?

Where is correct location for mouse driver mouse? See .log
and config file in the end of message.

This would mean that login in KDE desktop make these files
disappear! If true, how to get these files back?

Please help me, Kari

The lines in XFree86.0.log:
---
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module mouse
(II) UnloadModule: "mouse"
(EE) Failed to load module "mouse" (module does not exist,
0)
---

In XF86Config are defined as follows:
---
Section "Files"
	RgbPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb"
